Suryakumar Yadav added another milestone to his illustrious T20 career on May 2, 2026, becoming the second-highest run-scorer in Mumbai Indians history across all T20 competitions.
The landmark came during Mumbai Indians’ IPL 2026 clash against Chennai Super Kings at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium. A modest 21-run knock was enough for Suryakumar to take his tally to 3,933 runs for the franchise, surpassing the long-standing record of Kieron Pollard, who had scored 3,915 runs.
Suryakumar needed just four runs to go past Pollard before the match began, and he wasted no time. The stylish right-hander reached the milestone in emphatic fashion, dispatching the very first ball he faced to the boundary. While Pollard’s contribution to Mumbai Indians spanned 193 innings, Suryakumar has climbed to second place in just 121 innings, underlining his remarkable consistency and impact. He currently averages over 37 for the franchise, showcasing both reliability and flair in the middle order.

CSK dominated MI again
