Latest report on the Jets and RB Breece Hall.

The New York Jets have running back Breece Hall under contract for the 2026 NFL season.

Beyond that, Hall's future is up in the air and general manager Darren Mougey has expressed an interested in getting Hall signed to a long-term deal.

The Jets placed the $14.29 million franchise tag on Hall in March. Per ESPN, the team and Hall currently are not close to getting the player signed to a long-term deal and he might end up playing the 2026 NFL season on his franchise tag contract.

Hall, 24, is coming off arguably his best season since he entered the league as the 36th overall pick (second round) of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Iowa State. Hall finished the 2025 campaign having carried the ball 243 times for 1,065 yards (4.4 yards per carry) and four touchdowns while also catching 36-of-48 targets for 350 yards and one touchdown.
